COLUMBIA, Mo. — Two Mizzou football standouts were named to the media’s 2025 preseason All-Southeastern Conference Team, the SEC announced Friday at the conclusion of SEC Kickoff, the conference’s preseason four-day media event. The voting panel was comprised of more than 200 media members who attended the event in Atlanta.

Junior left guard Cayden Green earned first-team honors after a strong debut season in 2024 in which he started all 13 games and helped anchor an offensive line that paved the way for one of the SEC’s most balanced offenses. A native of Lee’s Summit, Green enters his second season as a key piece of Mizzou’s offensive front, earning multiple preseason All-American accolades. The 6-foot-5, 324-pound lineman from Lee’s Summit North High School has amassed 1,504 career snaps in 24 games (18 starts) between his time at Mizzou and Oklahoma. In 2024, Green helped the Mizzou offense accumulate 2,138 rushing and 2,926 passing yards as well as 26 rushing touchdowns.

Senior wide receiver Kevin Coleman Jr. earned third-team honors on the media’s preseason All-SEC team. The first-year Tiger, St. Louis native and St. Mary’s High School graduate has totaled 132 receptions for 1,769 yards and 11 touchdowns in 39 career games at Jackson State, Louisville and Mississippi State. Last year at MSU, he earned third-team All-SEC honors and ranked fifth in the SEC with 932 receiving yards on 74 receptions, including six touchdowns.
