
The Carter County Sheriff’s Office conducted a well-being check at a residence housing very small children.
Upon entering the home, deputies discovered conditions that were deemed appalling and hazardous. The residence was found to contain animal and human feces throughout, with evidence indicating the presence of feces on the children. The living environment was determined to be severely unsanitary and unfit for habitation.
As a result of the findings, the children were safely removed from the home and placed in a secure location. The parent of the children was subsequently arrested and is currently in custody. Alpine Brooks of Ellsinore, Mo. was arrested and a warrant was issued for three counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child with No Bond.
