Thorbjorn Olesen surged into the lead on Friday at the 3M Open after posting a 5-under 66 in the second round, bringing his tournament total to 14 under par. Olesen now holds a narrow one-stroke lead heading into the weekend at TPC Twin Cities. Olesen, who began the day two shots back, capitalized on sharp iron play and timely putting to move past first-round leader Adam Svensson. Svensson, who opened the tournament with a course record 60, stumbled to a 4-over 75 in round 2, sliding down the leaderboard. Hot on Olesen’s heels is Jack Knapp, who fired a bogey-free 65 to reach 13 under. Knapp, known for his power off the tee, is chasing his second PGA Tour win and currently ranks 31st in the FedEx Cup standings. The third round is set for today in Blaine, Minnesota, for round three of the 3M Open.
