On Thursday, members of the Carter County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on U.S. 60 Highway. During the stop, a K9 team was deployed and indicated the presence of an illegal substance odor. During the search of the vehicle, a large quantity of suspected methamphetamine was recovered along with other items, indicating the crime of delivery of a controlled substance. Stanley Gillette of Fordland, MO was arrested and was allegedly charged with Felony Delivery of a controlled substance with no bond. Linda Bowers of Springfield, MO was arrested and was allegedly charged with Felony Delivery of a controlled substance with no bond.
