On Friday, 55-year-old Bradford Wheeler and 64-year-old Linda Wheeler, both from Doniphan, were arrested on charges of felony possession of a controlled substance. Linda Wheeler was also charged with DWI, and Bradford Wheeler also faces a charge of felon in possession of a firearm. Bradford Wheeler was taken to the Ripley County jail and placed on a 24-hour hold. Linda Wheeler was taken to the Butler County Jail and placed on a 12-hour hold.
Friday, 45-year-old James Porterfield of Ava was arrested on charges of felony theft of a motor vehicle, felony first-degree property damage, three counts of careless and imprudent driving involving an accident, and three counts of leaving the scene of an accident. Saturday, the Highway Patrol arrested 30-year-old Destiny Mapes of West Plains for DWI, felony possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of paraphernalia, three counts of endangering the welfare of a child, failure to secure a child in restraint, and failure to register a vehicle. She was taken to the Howell County jail and placed on a 24-hour hold.
