FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Arkansas redshirt senior signal caller Taylen Green is one of the nation’s top 27 quarterbacks named to the preseason watch list for the Manning Award, the Allstate Sugar Bowl announced Thursday. The Manning Award was created by the Allstate Sugar Bowl in honor of the college football accomplishments of Archie, Peyton, and Eli Manning. It is the only quarterback award that includes the candidates’ postseason performances in its balloting. The winner will again be selected by a voting panel, which includes national media and each of the Mannings, after the postseason. The honor was one of many entering the 2025 season for Green. He was previously selected to the Davey O’Brien Award Watch List (Aug. 7) and the Maxwell Award Preseason Watch List (July 28). Head Coach Sam Pittman and the Hogs opened preseason practice last week with the first of 25 practices leading into the season opener. The Razorbacks kick off the 2025 season on Saturday, Aug. 30, when they welcome Alabama A&M to Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium for a 3:15 p.m. matchup on SEC Network.
