On July 22, Jay Weston Peterson allegedly assaulted a female while staying in Eminence. Peterson, who is currently on parole in the state of Kentucky, violated the terms of his parole by leaving the state without authorization.
On August 15, Peterson was taken into custody at the Probation and Parole Office in Muhlenberg County, Kentucky. This arrest was the result of swift and coordinated law enforcement action across state lines. Peterson is facing the following charges for felony
Violation of Parole, felony Rape or Attempted Rape, and felony first-degree Domestic Assault.
Peterson remains in custody at the Muhlenberg County Sheriff’s Office in Kentucky awaiting extradition proceedings.
