40-year-old Ellis Rayls from Nixa has been served a Grand Jury Indictment while already in the Department of Corrections. The indictment includes multiple felony charges, including child molestation, statutory sodomy, sodomy, statutory rape, endangering the welfare of a child, and sexual misconduct involving a child. Bond has been set at $250,000 cash only. Officials say Rayls was already serving a five-year sentence after pleading guilty to endangering the welfare of a child in a separate case. The investigation was conducted by a Douglas County Detective with assistance from the Children’s Division and the Child Advocacy Center.
