Two Local sports groups and a coach will be honored by the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame in October. Thayer Bobcat Football and fans will be awarded the first-ever Friday Night Lights Award. Former West Plains Coach and Athletic Director Greg Simpkins and the 1968 Cabool Bulldogs State Champion Football Team will be inducted into the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame. The ceremony is set for October 15th at the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds in Springfield. Tickets are available by calling 417-889-3100.
