Douglas County Crash Sends Woman to Hospital

A crash in Douglas County left a woman injured yesterday morning. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident happened at 7:15 a.m. Thursday, on MO-14, one-half mile south of Route 60, east of Vanzant. Troopers reported that a 2017 Ford Edge, driven by a 19-year-old woman from Vanzant, ran off the right side of the road, struck a culvert, and overturned. The vehicle was totaled and towed from the scene. The driver was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. She was transported by ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Springfield for treatment of moderate injuries.
