On August 27th, the PD attempted to stop a vehicle on Riverbend and Riverview Road for a headlight violation, and the vehicle sped away. A pursuit began that continued across the Cold Springs Bridge and onto Highway 63. The vehicle turned on Rainbow Valley Road and then onto White Rock Lane and stopped a house. The subject then ran into the house. The subject was Dale Lambert, an officer who followed him a arrested him after a brief struggle. Lambert had a search waiver on file, and a search was conducted. Officers found numerous narcotics. A female identified as Angela Leavits consented to a search, and meth was found in her purse. Both Lambert and Leavits were taken to Fulton County Jail. Lambert was charged with felony fleeing, possession of a schedule 1 or 2 controlled substance, possession of a schedule 4 or 5 controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Leavits was charged with possession of meth or cocaine.
