The Kansas City Chiefs opened their season with a tough loss last night, falling to the Los Angeles Chargers 19-15 in the NFL’s first-ever regular season game in Brazil. The Chiefs’ offense struggled early, managing just two field goals in the first half, while rookie wide receiver Xavier Worthy exited the game with a shoulder injury after colliding with Travis Kelce. Kansas City trailed 13-6 at halftime. Patrick Mahomes sparked the offense in the third quarter with an 11-yard rushing touchdown. In the fourth, Mahomes connected with Kelce for a 37-yard score, but a failed two-point conversion kept the Chiefs behind. Tensions flared when Chargers defender Teair Tart struck Kelce after the play, resulting in a penalty but no ejection. The game drew over 47,000 fans, with many making the long trip from Kansas City. The Chiefs will look to rebound next week when they return home to face the Baltimore Ravens.
