
The U.S. Secretary of Agriculture announced Friday that livestock producers in Arkansas and Missouri impacted by the 2023 and 2024 floods will be eligible for $1 billion in recovery benefits. According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the Emergency Livestock Relief Program is aimed at helping ranchers offset increased supplemental feed costs caused by the severe flooding. Local producers in the following counties qualify for assistance:
- Independence County, Arkansas
- Lawrence County, Arkansas
- Randolph County, Arkansas
- Sharp County, Arkansas
- Ripley County, Missouri
