
The Fulton County Sheriff’s Office and Salem Police report the arrest of a man after he fought with officers, injuring one. Authorities were dispatched to an area near Asher Road and 395 North, approximately six miles north of Salem, in regard to a domestic. Officers made contact with a male and a female who appeared to be under the influence and with blood on them. The female was taken into custody, and when officers attempted to arrest the male, he fought the officers. During the altercation, the male, identified as Ronald Lee Adams, attacked one of the officers, causing injuries to the officer’s head. While the officer was stunned, Ronald then started choking the officer, preventing the officer from breathing. The other officers were able to remove Ronald from the other officer. Ronald then began fighting those officers, biting and wrestling them. Ronald was subdued and taken into custody, where he was then transported to the Fulton County Detention Center. While at the Detention Center, Ronald again fought the officers and staff of the facility until he was again subdued and placed in a holding cell. Ronald has been charged with multiple felony charges, including aggravated assault, 2nd degree battery, terroristic threatening, 3rd degree domestic battery, resisting arrest, public intox, unauthorized use of a vehicle, and habitual offender. Ronald is being held on $100,000.00 dollars bond.
