A body was recovered this morning from Lake Norfork.  On Monday evening, September 15th, at approximately 11:37 PM, the Sheriff’s Office was notified that a person was missing in the Float Creek area of Lake Norfork after having entered the water from a broken-down boat several hours earlier in the day in an attempt to swim to the shore near Point 5A.   The missing person was identified as 49-year-old Glenn Bradley of Baxter County.  Another person he was with remained in the boat. After receiving this report, Sheriff’s personnel went to the area on the Sheriff’s patrol boat to search for the missing person but without success that evening.  Deputies returned to the same location Tuesday morning and continued searching by boat and by helicopter, again without success. This morning at approximately 8:10 AM, the Sheriff’s Office was notified that a citizen had found a body floating in the water in the Float Creek area.  Sheriff’s personnel and personnel from the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers Mountain Home Office immediately responded again to the location. The body of the deceased, confirmed to be Glenn Bradley, was recovered from the water and turned over to the Baxter County Coroner’s Office.  The body will be sent to the Arkansas State Medical Examiner’s Office for autopsy to confirm cause of death.
