A routine traffic stop in Mountain View early Wednesday morning led to serious drug trafficking charges against 62-year-old Frank Roberts. According to court documents, Roberts was pulled over shortly after midnight on September 24 while driving a vehicle under surveillance for suspected narcotics activity. Investigators had tracked the vehicle’s movements from Paragould, Arkansas, to St. Louis, Missouri, and back to Howell County using a GPS warrant. During the stop, a K9 alerted officers to narcotics, leading to the discovery of 196 grams of methamphetamine and 21 grams of suspected fentanyl. Roberts allegedly admitted the drugs were his. He is now facing two counts of first-degree drug trafficking — one for methamphetamine and one for fentanyl.
