Last month,  Corporal Timothy Gordon and his K9 partner “Flash” were requested to assist the Missouri State Highway Patrol with a traffic stop on Frank Roberts, who was also involved in an ongoing investigation by the South-Central Drug Task Force for suspected drug trafficking.

While on the traffic stop scene, the MSHP Troopers requested that Corporal Gordon deploy his K9 partner around the suspect vehicle for a free-air sniff for the odor of narcotics. During this K-9 deployment, K-9 Flash alerted and indicated the odor of controlled substances emanating from the vehicle.

During a subsequent search of the vehicle, Troopers found approximately 6.9 ounces of suspected methamphetamine and approximately 20.9 grams of suspected fentanyl capsules concealed deep inside an interior trim panel of the vehicle, along with various items of drug paraphernalia.

Roberts was taken into custody and transported to the Howell County jail, where he was booked and held on various drug trafficking related charges.
