On 10/13/2025, Oregon County Sheriff’s Office, arrested 57 year old Douglas Cozort of Thayer, for assault 2nd degree, a class D Felony, armed criminal action, an unclassified Felony, assault 4th degree, a class A Misdemeanor, operating a vehicle in a careless and imprudent manner, involving an accident, a class A Misdemeanor, and failure to drive on the right half of roadway when roadway was of sufficient width, resulting in an accident, a class A Misdemeanor. On 10/13/2025, he was released on a $10,000.00 surety bond.
On 10/16/2025, Oregon County Sheriff’s Office, arrested 29 year old John Battles of Sidney, AR, for possession of a controlled substance, a class D Felony, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia – prior drug offense, a class A Misdemeanor, and peace disturbance 1st offense, a class B Misdemeanor. He is being held on a $10,000.00 cash or corporate surety bond.
