DSS announces no SNAP benefits in November

Jefferson City, MO. – The Missouri Department of Social Services (DSS) announced Tuesday that due to the federal government shutdown, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food and Nutrition Service (USDA-FNS) has informed state agencies that November 2025 SNAP cannot be issued at this time.

SNAP benefits are 100 percent federally funded through USDA-FNS. DSS has received official communication from USDA that there is not sufficient funding to issue SNAP benefits for the month of November.
