
Tuesday afternoon, around 3, the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of an unresponsive person in the Eastern part of the County. While checking the home, two people who were obviously deceased were discovered. The coroner was contacted as well Arkansas State Police. A search warrant was obtained, and State Police began processing the scene. The victim’s remains have been submitted to the crime lab for autopsy and positive identification. Investigators with the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office, Arkansas State Police, 16th Judicial, 3rd Judicial, and 14th Judicial Drug Task Force have been checking leads throughout the north-central part of the state. Details around the case cannot be released at this time. There has been no evidence to suggest that the public is any greater danger.
The Arkansas State Police have now issued a BOLO for 32-year-old Jacob Lowell J. Smith, who is a person of interest in a double homicide in Fulton County. Authorities say Smith may be armed and dangerous and was last seen in a red 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 (Arkansas plate BEH93R) stolen from the scene.
