A Missouri Lottery player in West Plains was in for a surprise after uncovering a top prize on the “Merry Money” Scratchers ticket purchased at Casey’s, located at 816 St. Louis Street. The $5 “Merry Money” game, released on Oct. 13, has already awarded more than $1.1 million in prizes. According to the Missouri Lottery, over $10 million in prizes remain unclaimed, including two additional $100,000 top prizes and two $20,000 prizes. In 2025 alone, Howell County players have claimed more than $7.7 million in Missouri Lottery winnings. Local retailers have earned over $645,000 in commissions and bonuses, while more than $459,000 in Lottery proceeds have gone toward education programs within the county.
