Mountain Home fall clean-up set for this week

The annual fall clean-up in Mountain Home is scheduled to take place Monday through Friday, offering residents within city limits a chance to dispose of large household items not normally collected during regular trash service. The clean-up, conducted by Methvin Sanitation and Waste Connections, is available only for Mountain Home city customers. Items must be placed curbside by 6:00 a.m. on the morning of your regular pickup day. Acceptable items include furniture, mattresses and box springs, Freon-free appliances, toys, bicycles without tires, push or self-propelled mowers (drained of oil and gas), tools, bagged clothes, metals under four feet and 50 pounds, carpet rolled and tied under four feet, and fencing under four feet. Items not accepted include electronics, yard waste, tires, paint, vehicle batteries, and construction debris.
