Salem Police received information about shots being fired at a vehicle on East Scenic Rivers Boulevard. Investigators determined that one shot had been fired at a moving vehicle occupied by three juveniles. The suspect was identified as Allen Smith. Smith was arrested. Police said Smith allegedly later admitted to the shooting when being interviewed by Salem PD. Smith is being held in the Dent County Jail without bond on charges of armed criminal action, unlawful use of a weapon, unlawful discharge of a firearm, second-degree property damage, and three charges of first-degree assault.
