The City of West Plains is issuing a city-wide boil water order as directed by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources (DNR). This order is being put in place due to high turbidity levels in the unfinished water.
Until further notice, all residents should boil water for at least three minutes before using it for drinking, cooking, brushing teeth, or preparing infant formula.
City water crews are actively working to resolve the issue, and will provide updates as soon as conditions return to normal and the boil order can be lifted.
