The Kansas City Chiefs came up just short on Thanksgiving

Dallas quarterback Dak Prescott threw for two touchdowns, while Malik Davis broke loose for a 43-yard score to help lift the Cowboys to the holiday victory. Despite the loss, Patrick Mahomes put on a show in his first professional game at the home of the Cowboys, where he once played during his college career at Texas Tech. Mahomes finished the night with four touchdown passes, including two on fourth-down conversions — a 2-yard strike to Travis Kelce, and another on fourth-and-3 to Rashee Rice early in the fourth quarter. The Chiefs pulled within three late after Mahomes escaped a near sack and connected with Xavier Worthy for 42 yards, setting up a 10-yard touchdown pass to Hollywood Brown with 3:27 remaining. But Dallas kept the ball the rest of the way. Two pass interference penalties extended the Cowboys’ drive, and Prescott found George Pickens for 13 yards to seal the game just before the two-minute warning. Dallas ran out the clock from there. Up Next: The Chiefs return home to Arrowhead Stadium on December 7, hosting the Houston Texans in prime time.
