A West Plains man was taken into custody Friday following a traffic stop that led to multiple charges. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 62-year-old Scott W. Gunter of West Plains was arrested on November 28, 2025, at 11:19 a.m. in Howell County. Gunter is facing the following charges: Felony Failure to register as a sex offender, Driving while revoked, and No seat belt. He was transported to the Howell County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold.
