Mountain Home woman behind bars after forging checks

A woman from Mountain Home faces charges after allegedly forging checks at her job and depositing them in her bank account. 32-year-old Cayla Lee Lynn Johnson allegedly altered a check in September 2024 from $195.91 to $1,905.91 and deposited it through a mobile app. She allegedly altered checks on three separate occasions, taking $2,363. She has repaid $1,797. Johnston is charged with second-degree forgery and theft of property. She is free after posting $5,000 bond.
