The West Plains Lady Zizzers defeated the Miller Lady Cardinals Wednesday night, 71 to 39, in the Marshfield Lady Jays Tip Off Classic. Gillian Green led 3 Lady Zizzers in double figures with 25, Zoe Scharnhorst and Ainsley McWilliams each had 12 points apiece. Lady Zizzers are 2 and 1 on the season and will play the Mountain Grove Lady Panthers on Friday at 4 pm on the final day of the tournament. The game will be broadcast on “100.9FM The Train”.
The West Plains Zizzers Boys basketball team lost to Springfield Catholic on Wednesday in the Willard Classic, 75-65. The Zizzers had three players score in double figures, led by Jared Kraft with 24 points, Josiah Long with 16 and Jacob Moore with 12. The Zizzers will play in the consolation bracket on Friday.
