Missouri State University has accepted an invitation to compete in the inaugural Xbox Bowl, marking the Bears’ first-ever FBS bowl appearance. The game is scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 18 at 8 p.m. and will be played at the Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas, a 12,000-seat venue. The Bears (7-5) will represent Conference USA and face Arkansas State (6-6), the Sun Belt Conference representative. The matchup will air nationally on ESPN2. University officials say current and new Missouri State season ticket holders, along with Bears Fund members, will receive priority access to bowl tickets before the remaining allotment is released to the general public. The Xbox Bowl replaces the former Bahamas Bowl and is one of 17 postseason college football games owned and operated by ESPN Events, known for showcasing emerging NFL talent and providing unique fan experiences.
