Chance Emerick allegedly fled from police in a vehicle reaching speeds in excess of 70 MPH. Emerick failed to negotiate a corner and crashed his vehicle. He then fled on foot into a heavily wooded area. The Wright County Sheriff’s Office Overwatch Division was deployed, and Emerick was later taken into custody. Emerick is charged with Aggravated Fleeing and Domestic Assault. He is being held on a $10,000 cash bond. Emerick is a prior domestic assault offender.
