The meeting began with the council approving the consent agenda and paying bills. Then, the Council heard from Mitchell Thierry of the Small Business Administration about the deadline to apply for emergency relief from the storms in March and April through the SBA.

He said the deadline for the Economic Injury Loan is July 22, 2026.
The Council also approved an amendment to an ordinance changing the start times for their regular monthly meeting to 5:30 pm, and they approved the permanent hiring of Parks Director Elly Burrell and Police Officer Bobby Simmons.
The next City Council meeting will be on the second Tuesday of January at 5:30 pm.
