Busy Day of Christmas Celebrations locally

Downtown Thayer’s Annual “Christmas on Chestnut and Tree Lighting” is today from 430 to 730 and sponsored by Thayer Merchants.  Live music, holiday fun, sleigh rides and train rides, delicious eats and sweet treats, photos with Santa starting at 5, and a Santa Bear Giveaway.  It’s a night filled with fun and holiday cheer.  Bring the family, December 13th for “Christmas on Chestnut” downtown Thayer.

 

The Greater West Plains Area Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade will be held this afternoon at 4 pm. This year’s theme is “125 Years of Christmas Cheer!” Celebrating the Spirit of West Plains Since 1900. This theme blends the holiday spirit with the pride of the Chambers’ 125th anniversary.

 

A Railroad Christmas at the Mammoth Spring State Park from 5:30 to 7:30p p.m. Meet at the Welcome Center parking lot. Craft Village open from 7p to 7:30p. Christmas Light Lake Hike, Christmas craft vendors, Common Ground Church Carolers, Tour the 1886 Frisco Train Depot, Pictures with Santa Claus, Polar Express Reading at the Caboose 6, 6:30, 7, and 7:30. Cost is by donation (1 or more new toys per family), help create a Christmas to remember.
