On Monday, Wright County Corporal Shane Bryson investigated and arrested 26-year-old Eddie Barnett of Mansfield for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender. Barnett is currently on parole for a prior offense involving a child and is being held on a no-bond warrant.
Corporal Bryson also arrested 47-year-old Kristi Overton of Mansfield for Endangering the Welfare of a Child in the First Degree. Overton was transported to the Wright County Jail, and bond was set at $5,000 cash only.
This case has generated numerous calls over the past four months, with multiple deputies responding on several occasions.
