44-year-old Donnie McFarland and his 20-year-old son Jakob McFarland were both arrested after what authorities called a drunken brawl that started over the son drinking from the family liquor cabinet. Both men were allegedly intoxicated. The dispute escalated after a dispute over a dog. Donnie McFarland allegedly pushed Jakob’s mother down before punching Jakob in the face. Both men were arrested, and Donnie was charged with two counts of third-degree domestic battery and was issued no-contact orders protecting the mother and Jakob. Jakob was cited for possession of alcohol by a minor.
