A man from Mammoth Spring was arrested earlier this month for allegedly attacking his stepfather.

28-year-old Jeremy Lane Hurst was reportedly staying at a house owned by the mother and stepfather. The stepfather allegedly called his dog a name, and Hurst thought it was directed at him. He attacked his stepfather, hitting him and throwing the dog gate at the man. Hurst then allegedly pulled a gun and threatened to kill him.  Hurst is facing felony charges of aggravated assault on a family or household member, second-degree battery, and first-degree terroristic threatening. He is free after posting $25,000 bond.
