Boil Water Advisory issued along Nichols Drive in West Plains

boil-order-2

A Boil Water Advisory has been issued for residents along Nichols Drive due to low water pressure caused by a pump malfunction. According to officials, water crews are currently collecting samples from the affected area and submitting them to the Missouri Department of Natural Resources (DNR) State Laboratory for testing. Results are expected to be returned by the middle of next week. Officials said the advisory is being issued as a precaution. While the water supply has not been confirmed to be unsafe, residents are advised to take boil water precautions until testing is complete. Residents are advised to boil all water intended for consumption for at least three minutes or use bottled water during the advisory period.
