The Izard County Sheriff’s Office emphasized that it does not issue warrants for missed jury duty in this manner and will never call to demand payment, request payment methods over the phone, or direct anyone to make bond payments. Residents who receive a call like this are advised not to provide any personal or financial information, not to send money or make payments, and to hang up immediately. Anyone who believes they have been contacted by a scammer or has already shared information is encouraged to contact the Izard County Sheriff’s Office as soon as possible.
