The U.S. Geological Survey recorded a small earthquake that registered a magnitude 2.2 tremor at 8:02 p.m. It was centered about 2.8 miles south-southeast of Maynard. According to the preliminary report, the quake had a depth of 5 miles. There were no reports of damage or injuries.
