
FAYETTEVILLE AR.–For the third consecutive week, Arkansas guard Darius Acuff Jr. has been named the SEC Men’s Basketball Freshman of the Week, the conference announced Monday.
Acuff averaged 25 points, 8.5 assists, 4.0 rebounds and 2.0 steals in a win over Queens and a loss to No. 8 Houston. He totaled 17 assists against four turnovers and shot 55.5% from 3-point range for the week.
Against Queens, Acuff scored 23 points and tied his career high with 10 assists for his second double-double of the season.
In Saturday’s loss to Houston, Acuff poured in a career-high 27 points to go along with seven assists and five rebounds.
