A Powerball ticket sold in central Arkansas has landed one of the largest lottery prizes in U.S. history. Arkansas lottery officials say a ticket purchased in Cabot matched all six numbers in Wednesday’s Christmas Eve drawing, securing a jackpot worth an estimated $1.817 billion. The winning numbers were 04, 25, 31, 52, 59 and Powerball 19. Final ticket sales pushed the prize higher than expected, making it the second-largest jackpot ever awarded in the United States and the biggest Powerball payout of 2025. The jackpot carried a cash value of $834.9 million. The win ends a streak of 46 consecutive drawings without a top-prize winner. The last jackpot hit came on Sept. 6, when tickets in Missouri and Texas shared a $1.787 billion prize. This is only the second time a Powerball jackpot has been won with a ticket sold in Arkansas — the first was in 2010. It also marks the first Christmas Eve jackpot win since 2011. Powerball officials note the grand prize has been won four times on Christmas Day, most recently in 2013. Cabot, a community of about 27,000 residents, is located roughly 26 miles northeast of Little Rock.
