The Thayer Bobcats wrapped up play at the Bad Boy Mowers–Ronnie Brogdon Invitational on Wednesday with a strong third-place finish, rolling past the Bay Yellowjackets 78–50. Thayer took control early and never let up, setting the tone from the opening tip while dictating the pace on both ends of the floor. The Bobcats were active on the glass and found a consistent offensive rhythm, building a comfortable lead that carried through the final buzzer. Hunter Trinkler led the Bobcats with 23 points, while Carter Nicholson provided a spark off the bench, finishing with 19 points. Hollis Deckard added 16 points to round out a balanced scoring effort for Thayer. With the win, the Bobcats improve to 3–6 on the season, closing out the 2025 calendar year on a positive note. Thayer will return to action next Tuesday night when the Highland Rebels visit Thayer High School.
