Man missing out of Doniphan found safe

Authorities say a man reported missing out of Doniphan on New Year’s Eve has been found safe. The Missouri State Highway Patrol canceled an Endangered Silver Alert for 73-year-old Ronald D. Lynn shortly before 12:30 p.m. Thursday. Lynn had been reported missing after leaving an assisted living facility on East Summit Street in Doniphan around 7 a.m. Wednesday, according to Doniphan Police. Authorities said Lynn, who has been diagnosed with dementia, left the facility without permission from his guardian. Just before 4 p.m. Wednesday, Lynn’s vehicle was reportedly seen traveling on Baseline Road from Scott Hamilton Drive in Little Rock. During a phone call with authorities, Lynn stated he was in an unknown location in Arkansas. Police have not released details regarding where Lynn was located. Officials confirmed he was found safe, bringing the search to a close.
