
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Darius Acuff Jr. scored 24 of his career-high 31 points in the second half to lead No. 20 Arkansas to an 85-81 victory over LSU on Saturday.
Fellow freshman Meleek Thomas joined him in double figures for the Razorbacks (15-5, 5-2 Southeastern Conference) with 13 points and Billy Richmond III added 11.
COLUMBIA, Mo. — Mark Mitchell scored 25 points, including a game-winning 3-pointer in overtime, as Missouri edged Oklahoma 88-87 on Saturday.
Mitchell added 10 rebounds for his fifth career double-double and reached 1,500 career points in the second half for the Tigers (14-6, 4-3 SEC). Trent Pierce hit his only field goal of the game, a 37-foot pull-up 3-pointer at the end of regulation to force overtime.
EL PASO, Texas — Kobi Williams’ 21 points helped Missouri State defeat UTEP 62-57 on Saturday.
Williams also contributed five rebounds for the Bears (12-8, 6-3 Conference USA). Michael Osei-Bonsu added 17 points while shooting 6 of 10 from the field and 5 for 9 from the line while he also had nine rebounds. Keith Palek III went 3 of 9 from the field to finish with eight points.
ATLANTA — Jelani Hamilton scored 38 points as Georgia State beat Arkansas State 82-81 on Saturday.
Christian Harmon led the way for the Red Wolves (13-8, 5-4) with 23 points. Arkansas State also got 14 points from Matt Hayman. Chandler Jackson also had 11 points and six assists.
