A former Pro Bowl running back is headed to Kansas City. According to multiple reports, DeMarco Murray is leaving the college ranks to join the Kansas City Chiefs as the team’s new running backs coach. Murray spent the last six seasons as running backs coach at Oklahoma. He now joins a Chiefs coaching staff that has seen several changes following the team’s 6-11 season, which concluded in early January. As a player, Murray starred for the Dallas Cowboys and Tennessee Titans. He was a three-time Pro Bowler, a First-Team All-Pro selection, and was named the 2014 AP Offensive Player of the Year. Murray replaces Todd Pinkston in the role. Kansas City has also added a new wide receivers coach and rehired Eric Bieniemy as offensive coordinator as the organization looks to regroup heading into the upcoming season.
