Friday the 13th turned out to be a lucky day for two lottery players, including one right here in West Plains. Missouri Lottery officials confirm that two $50,000 winning Powerball tickets were sold in the state. One of those tickets was purchased at Casey’s on Gibson Street in West Plains. The other winning ticket was sold in Liberty at Price Chopper on South Highway 291. Both tickets matched four white-ball numbers plus the Powerball number to claim the $50,000 prize. As of now, officials have not released information about the winners. Anyone who purchased a Powerball ticket for Friday’s drawing is encouraged to double-check their numbers.
