KANSAS CITY, Mo.- The Kansas City Chiefs are parting ways with two-time Super Bowl champion Mike Danna.
The team released the veteran defensive end Monday — a move that frees up $9 million in cap space.
This comes five days after the team restructured Patrick Mahomes’ contract ahead of the start of the NFL’s new year, March 11.
Danna, 28, had been with the club since he was drafted in the fifth round in 2020.
He started 14 games last season and finished with 23.5 sacks in Kansas City, including the postseason.
