The Thayer City Council met last night at City Hall for their regular monthly meeting. The Meeting began with the council approving the consent agenda and paying bills. The Council then heard from Mr. and Mrs. Brosius about concerns over southwest Drive. After a lengthy discussion, the council agreed they wanted to help and said the street department would assess the road. The City Council then set the week of April 13th as Spring Cleanup Week. They then discussed the need to get a loan for Jordan’s outer road project. Mayor Donna Martin talked about it
The council voted to get the loan for $180,000. The Council also approved the bid from Pace Construction for the outer road at $239,320. The City Council then approved putting an advertisement in the paper for help at City Hall. The council also approved sending the Court Clerk to the annual MACA conference. Then they discussed and approved adding a City administrator Ordinance, which would name City Clerk Brent Collins as the City Administrator, and the new hire would be for City Clerk.
The Council meets on the second Tuesday of each month at City Hall.
