The Thayer Fire Department was called to a structure fire last night at 7:20 on Arden Lane. The fire was at the Arden Grove apartments behind McDonalds and the Thayer Church of Christ. The Fire Department reports no injuries, but there was major damage. They say one apartment was destroyed and another seriously damaged by fire, water, and smoke. The firefighters battled the fire for several hours. The State Fire Marshall was called to determine the cause of the fire.
