Tuesday is Election Day in Missouri, and there are several local contested races we will be watching closely. Today, we look at the Howell County races.
County voters will be asked to decide on Prop. 1, which is a one half on one percent sales tax for capital improvement.
West Plains School District will elect three board members; candidates are Ashton Atlas, Jim Laughary, Jodi Purgason, Reid Grigsby, and Jimmy Thompson.
Bakersfield School District will elect 1 board member; the candidates are Jana Gauley and Stanton Cory Land
In Mountain View, residents will elect a mayor; the candidates are Todd Mitchell, Karen Gaddy, and John Krasuski. They will also choose a East Ward Alderman. The candidates are Judi Colter, Bryce Cooper, and Toby Orchard, in the West Ward for alderman; the candidates are Rick Thornton and Calvin Perry.
In the Willow Springs School District, they will elect three board members. The candidates are Adam Webb. Michael Myers, David Ryan Baldridge, Brendan Wilson, Casey McKee, and Matt Hobson.
