Two arrested after narcotics search warrant was served in Douglas County

During the early morning hours on Thursday, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office served a narcotics search warrant on O Highway in the Goodhope area of Douglas County after a several-week investigation by Sgt. Aaron Box.

Deputies seized methamphetamines and a firearm as a result of the search warrant.

A warrant was then issued for 55-year-old Michelle Walker for possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, Unlaw possession of a firearm (felon in possession), and Unlawful use of a weapon by possessing methamphetamine and a firearm. Bond was set at $5000 cash only.

A warrant was issued for 33-year-old Phillip Thomas for possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, Unlaw possession of a firearm (felon in possession), and Unlawful use of a weapon by possessing methamphetamine and a firearm. Bond was set at $5000 cash only.

Upon arriving at the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, before entering the jail, both subjects disclosed that they had methamphetamine concealed upon their person. Deputies seized 2 baggies containing methamphetamine from the subjects that would have been discovered by the body scanner.
